Maybe you'll find an answer there,Ĥ) or finally, I would write Lapua a mail and ask them. The gauge is a tiny little device, and might cost you 10$ or so?ģ) Alternatively, I would look over on they tend to be pretty oriented towards target calibers. This little gizmo allows you to establish the max case length, for YOUR CHAMBER - which is often longer than what the specified max case length, and can save you a good bit of trimming. I can't, however, guarantee you this also the case for the 6.5x47.Ģ) Therefore, I would personally get a "Chamber Length Gauge" for caliber. If I had a 6.5x47 Lapua, I would do the following:ġ) observe that for MOST European calibers following the "caliberXcase-length" nomenclature, the case length (in this case 47 mm) is the max case length allowed. It is indeed such, that it can be difficult to find trim length for "oddball" (European) calibers. Although I don't have a ready-made answer for you, let me chime in - maybe that gets the discussion going. 19 January 2010, 14:01 mhoDennis, you don't seem to be getting a lot of replies on this one.
